What does Spoken Word mean to you?
Every second Wednesday of the month, RAB presents to the poetry
community of UMiami Spoken Word Wednesdays. This is an evening for all
who appreciate different forms of poetic articulation to share their
work. In the past, everyone from local artists in the Miami poetry
scene to Def Poets, featured on Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry Jam,
have graced our campus and blessed the mic at the Rathskeller. Each
show comes with its own vibrance, as month after month, house poets are
groomed, challenged, inspired and encouraged to write and make their
voices heard in literary expression. So what are U waiting for? All
are welcome to head over to the Rat once a month to enjoy the
